Registration is open for the 2022 Virginia Interagency Wildland Fire Academy held at Longwood University in Farmville, VA. Courses offered this year include:

• S-215 – Fire Operations in the Wildland Urban Interface
• S-131 – Firefighter, Type 1, Squad Boss
• S-270 – Basic Air Operations
• RX-310 – Introduction to Fire Effects
• Tractor – Advanced Tractor Operation
• S-330 – Task Force/Strike Team Leader
• S-130/190 Basic Wildland Firefighter Field Training

Registration fees – $50 per student, except for federal employees whose registration is $50 per day. Fee includes all coursework and materials, on campus dorm-style lodging and on-campus meals.
