The seminar addresses wood use in construction from an engineering and architectural viewpoint. Topics include sustainably designing projects using mass timber, the products and performance associated with mass timber construction, and the future of mass timber in the construction landscape. Speakers will discuss building codes and lessons learned through mass timber and CLT projects in the area. We will end the day with a tour of the Apex Energy building in Charlottesville that was designed and built using CLT. This course is available for 4.5 LU/HSW AIA Credits.
