Tax-Exempt Seedling Orders

Virginia Department of Forestry (VDOF) offers both a catalog order program, as well as a reforestation order program.

If you are tax-exempt and have a tax-exempt number, you must order by mail or phone. Tax-exempt orders cannot be processed through our on-line store.

Catalog Order Program

To order tree seedlings to be shipped to you or to pick up at the Augusta Nursery, please order through our Catalog Order Program. Catalog orders are accepted beginning in early October; seedlings are available from January to April, weather permitting.

  • Tax-exempt orders CANNOT be made on-line through the web store.
  • Order by mail – send a completed Form 12.2 Tree Seedling Catalog Order with payment to Augusta Nursery, P.O. Box 160, Crimora, VA 24431-0160
  • Order by phone at (540) 363-7000, Monday – Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Reforestation Order Program

To order more than 1,000 trees for reforestation to pick up at our nurseries, please order through our Reforestation Order Program. Reforestation orders are accepted beginning in September, and seedlings are available from January to April, weather permitting. Place orders at least 14 days prior to your desired pickup or delivery date.

  • Reforestation orders CANNOT be made on-line through the web store.
  • Order by mail – send a completed Form 12.1 Reforestation Tree Seedling and Service Order  with payment to Augusta Nursery, P.O. Box 160, Crimora, VA 24431-0160
  • Order by phone at (540) 363-7000, Monday – Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

* Containerized Seedlings – Containerized seedlings are available for longleaf and shortleaf pine. These must be picked up from the Sussex Nursery between November 1 and mid-December, 19127 Sandy Hill Road, Courtland, VA 23837.
